Los Angeles Police Search For Escapee Who Stalked Madonna

Police are searching for a man convicted of threatening to kill Madonna who walked away from a Los Angeles-area mental hospital last week.

Los Angeles police say Robert Dewey Hoskins left a state hospital where he had been committed last year.

Police said in a news release issued Thursday that the 54-year-old is "highly psychotic" and can be extremely violent and should not be approached by members of the public.

Hoskins served a 10-year prison sentence for stalking and threatening Madonna, and court records show he was convicted of vandalism in July 2011. The singer testified against him during his 1996 trial.

Police say they have searched areas where Hoskins may try to go, including the city of Long Beach, which is south of Los Angeles.

I was shocked at the "oldies" she decided to include in her performance. 30 year old songs by a 50 year old singer. She's like the Phyllis Diller of pop rock anyway. Who's next, Tony Bennet?

Madonna was born in Michigan, then lived in NY... she's not really a Californian (there's the spelling for you since you screwed it up so badly). TY for the morning giggle though (sort of). I always find it entertaining to observe that people post on this site about all the wackos, criminals, idiots, bad drivers, and unscrupulous officials, and how terrible Pitt county is until something happens in some other part of the country. Then it's "those people" that are so awful, right? I'm usually the one defending your region because I'm so in love with it and enjoy the time I spend there. I think you're confused.
