"Last Call" For Goldsboro Strip Club

A Goldsboro strip club can't serve alcohol because authorities say there's a violent history at the business.

The Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission on Thursday suspended permits for Teaser's on Highway 117 South. That suspension is effective immediately.

Authorities say the latest violence at the business happened Sunday morning when one customer was shot and three others pistol whipped. Lawmen say the business has become increasingly dangerous, prompting them to seek a "Last Call" suspension against the business.

Teaser's is the 13th business to get its permits suspended since "Last Call" was initiated by the ABC Commission in October 2009.

The suspension order lists six cases since May where police were called to the nightclub in which customers were either shot, stabbed, or where large-scale fights were taking place.

Teaser's has had ABC permits since 1994 and cannot serve alcohol until a judge reviews the case at a hearing in the Office of Administrative Hearings.

You know, I love looking at beautiful women dance and stuff, but they need to get rid of this place. There are no beautiful women there (pregnancy stretch marks, and they smell bad), it's full of fake thugs who can't fight, and you may get robbed in the parking lot before you can even get in. Personally, when I was 18/19 i did but I would NEVER AGAIN go to any "Exotic Dance" club in Goldsboro. They disgust me. Rather take the long drive to a real "Gentleman's Club" like Pure Gold

Authorities? You mean like the White House spokesman. The fact that there was a place at all, in Wayne County, with it's appearance, it's history, it's volume of complaints simply proves that a respectable type of business, with entertainment, music, and alcohol, was or is not intended to exist. Meaning that one is not respectable. A night club is a business that serves the public, like a restaurant or a tavern or a private club. It should have codes, even if the place does not serve food. Teasers' location is or was an obvious comment on a night club. Putting the club down by the river was the municipal policy maker's way of saying "There it is. You have your adult entertainment club. Go if you have the nerve to drive or ride to the place some weekend." I think a statement was being made. The people on the commissions wanted to prove a point, that's all I'm saying. They should make a place like that private and 21, in a business district with any other kind of business.

I personally don't like these types of establishments, however, couldn't any business fall victim to such a weird law? I mean, convenient stores are called "Stop and Robs" for a reason....It would be different if he was serving underage alcohol or serving "after hours." If we are going to BAN a business, then BAN it.

This "business" has always had problems & should have been shut down a long time ago. It's on 117S but rather isolated. and rather dumpy in appearance. Shootings, beatings, stabbings, robberies, drugs...are just a few of the incidents that have happened there. It shows total lack of responsibility by the owners. Hopefully they will shut down all together.

Shot, stabbed, fights! Three words that describe a mix of a ghetto dump and a military town as the same town, with twice the violence. That's Goldsboro for you right there.
