Officers chased a shooting suspect in Kinston Saturday afternoon. The chase ended when the suspects car crashed into a utility pole.
According to Kinston police on Saturday afternoon officers responded to a shooting on the 500 block of Sherman St.
The victim said a suspect shot into his vehicle while he was driving. The victim's vehicle did have damage from gunfire, but the victim was not injured.
The victim and the suspect do know each other.
Police located the suspects vehicle and pursued it. Two people were inside that vehicle at the time.
One man inside the vehicle, Terrell Mcdonald, jumped from the vehicle, but was caught by police on Towerhill Rd.
Meanwhile the driver, Ricardo Williams, ended up crashing the vehicle into a utility pole on Pine Street, and he was also arrested.
Both men are now in jail. They are both facing charges of felony speed to elude and resisting, delaying, obstructing public officials.
Williams is also being charged with discharging a firearm into an occupied conveyance in operation, assault with a deadly weapon, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
