Second Armed Robber At Kinston Salvation Army Store

More Video...

For the second time in two weeks police cars were called to a Salvation Army thrift store, but this time no money was taken.

Kinston police say they were called just after 4:00 p.m. to a possible robbery at the Salvation Army on Boy Scout Boulevard.

Because of another robbery exactly two weeks ago, employees were on the lookout for anything suspicious. Police say a worker saw a man wearing a partial mask approach the store, so they went towards the rear of the building.

When the man armed with a handgun came in, no one was at the register. He stayed there for a few moments and then left with no money.

Police say they have some good leads in Friday's attempted armed robbery, but so far no arrests.
