Jones Co. Driver Faces Drug Charges After Deputy Serves To Miss Him

A driver who nearly hit an oncoming Jones County deputy's car was arrested on drug charges.

The Jones County sheriff's office says the investigator was traveling westbound on Highway 41 West, when a vehicle heading eastbound at a high rate of speed, drove left of center and almost hit the investigator head on. The investigator ended up pulling over the vehicle and found prescription narcotics, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. 27-year-old James Trenton, was arrested and placed in the custody of the Jones County Jail.
