Inmate Found With Drugs Checking Into Jail

A jail inmate is in even more trouble after they discovered he had drugs with him.

Santez Keys of Washington is charged with possession of a controlled substance in a prison/jail premises and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Beaufort County deputies say the 28-year-old Keys had gone to jail to start serving time for a prior conviction when detention officers say they found baggies of marijuana concealed in the waistband of boxer shorts he was wearing. Match strikers were also found.

Keys was taken before a magistrate who set a secured bond of $15,000.
