A local high school principal is due in court today to face DWI charges.
State troopers arrested Randy Millar, principal at Mattamuskeet High School in Hyde County, in February. They say Millar, was driving a county-owned vehicle when it wrecked on U.S. 264 near Swan Quarter. Troopers say the 57-year-old's blood alcohol content was .11, while .08 is considered drunk driving in the state.
Superintendent Dr. Randolph Latimore says Millar is out on annual leave as the school system reviews the situation.
We'll keep you posted on what happens in court.
