Husband Charged In Wife's Stabbing
A woman was stabbed this morning and now her husband is in jail.
Martin County deputies say Sean Burns of Williamston is in jail without bond on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.
Deputies say the man's wife, Victoria Burns was stabbed on her arms and had lost a large amount of blood. She was first taken to Martin General Hospital and then transferred to Pitt County Memorial Hospital via EastCare.
Deputies say the stabbing happened at the couple's home on Bay Street. The victim's condition is unknown at this time, according to lawmen.
