Deputies say one thief got a lot more than he was looking for after breaking into a Wayne County home early Tuesday morning.

Wayne County deputies say Kenneth Parnell broke into a home in Princeton and assaulted the resident.

But once deputies got to the house they found the resident holding Parnell captive on the kitchen floor, waiting for law enforcement.

Parnell is now in custody and charged with first degree burglary, felony larceny, and assault & battery. His bond is set at $200,000.
