Homeless Sex Offender Arrested After Finding Place To Live

A registered sex offender who originally listed his address as "homeless" is in jail after deputies say he didn't tell them he found a place to live.

Andre Jones of Morehead City is charged with failing to change his address as a sex offender. Carteret County deputies say he was placed on the registry in 1997 after being convicted of second degree rape and second degree sex offense in 1992.

The 44-year-old was also served with an outstanding warrant for breaking and entering. He was jailed on a $12,000 bond.
