Scotland Neck Police say they’ve arrested an aunt and nephew pair on drug charges.

27-year-old Markell Wiggins and his aunt Connie Wiggins were arrested Friday at a home on Main Street following an ongoing investigation of Markell since 2008. During a search of the home, police say over 3 pounds of marijuana and over 11 grams of cocaine were seized.

Police charged both with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. We’re told Markell was also charged with felony possession of marijuana and possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine.

Markell Wiggins was given a $75,000 bond, while his aunt received a $4,500 bond.

Police say Markell was indicted in 2011 with the same sell and deliver charge and was convicted less than 3 months ago and was sentenced to 36 months supervised probation.
