HVAC Employee Wanted For Embezzlement, Theft At Church

Deputies are looking for an employee of a heating and air conditioning company who is suspected of stealing large amounts of copper from his employer and a church that was under construction.

Tolby Bright of Washington is wanted for one count of breaking or entering a place of worship, one count of felony larceny, one count of embezzlement and nine counts of obtaining property by false pretenses.

Deputies say back in early August Bright's employer told them he had stolen a large quantity of copper from them. Five days later the Word of Life Worship Center was broken into and five evaporator coils were taken from the air conditioning units. They say Bright had worked on that HVAC job for the company.

Crime Stoppers will pay to to a $1,000 reward for information leading to the 28-year-old man's arrest. You can call 252-974-6400 with your tip.
