Gun Stolen From Car In Greenville

Greenvlle police say a man's pistol was stolen from his unlocked car Tuesday night, and they're using the case a reminder to people to lock their cars.

Police say a Ruger .357 magnum revolver was stolen from the front seat of a car parked in front of CiCi's Pizza on Greenville Blvd. Police say the victim told police he left his car windows down and the doors unlocked before going into the restaurant. The victim told police he noticed two men in a blue four-door car watching him as he went inside CiCi's.

When the victim came back to his car, he says his pistol was gone.

Police say there is no surveillance video available, and no evidence was recovered from the car.

In addition to locking car doors, police encourage people to make sure anything of value is out of sight.
