Previous Story

A Grifton man is wanted for two convenience store robberies this morning, that happened within a half hour of each other.

Kinston police say they have two armed robbery warrants for Joseph Anderson, who may be driving a late model white Toyota Camry.

Police say this morning around 6:25 a.m. they got a call to the Murphy Express on West Vernon Avenue. The clerk told officers a man armed with a handgun stole an undetermined about of cash from the register.

Then at 6:52 a.m. the Mallard Food Shop on Highway 11 North was robbed with a man doing the same thing. In both cases the robber left in a white four door sedan.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of the 24-year-old Anderson should notify your local police or call Lenoir County Crime Stoppers at 252-523-4444.

Joey only carried about one of his kids and that was his daughter, he had nothing nor wanted nothing to do with his son. His drunk of a mother was probably involved in it some way or another. His entire family is a piece of work, and he deserves whatever punishment they give him, if not more. He hasnt embarrassed his mother, because she is a embarrassment herself. Her poor excuse mothering skills is what landed him in all the trouble he has and is in. She is to worried about getting drunk, smoking her drugs and screwing all these different men and even men that have girlfriends then to worry about raising her son right. GREAT JOB SONYA, SUCH GREAT PARENTING YOU DID WITH YOUR SON

The only ignorance that is irritating is your epistle defending this garbage.

kinston is a black hole....there are no jobs so people start robbing people or selling drugs. If you want to have a better life then move out of that dead town. I used to know Joey back in the day and he was a good guy (back then) but the truth is he hung out with criminals and when you hang out with them you either become one or you get tired of the bs and find new friends. I hope that one day he figures out that a life of crime will get him nowhere.

I hope they check into the robbery over in Pinevilla. Odds are he had something to do with those as well. Fits the description of the thugs that have been hanging around that area.

Seriously thinking we need to reinstate the good old rules. People like that do not deserve to be here. Violent crimes are a choice. If you make that choice, society should be able to also make the choice to eliminate you. I don't care how pitiful his life is or how many children he has managed to create. Any person that holds a gun to someone's face does not deserve the life they live. They are not being productive members of society and therefore society should rid of them. Eventually these "thugs" and "cool kids" who think they're so big and bad will get the hint. Jail time is a vacation. Get rid of them and end our misery.

So basically, what you're saying here is that you honestly believe that because a man took some money from two convenience stores, albeit at gunpoint, without physically harming or killing anyone, that we should put this man to death?

Yes - that's what the man is saying - and I agree - the madness needs to stop!

That will work, but not to take his life. He hasn't murdered anyone. "Thou shall not kill", who is to judge that someone should die except the Lord God!!!
