Greenville Man Charged With Robbing Grandfather At Gunpoint

A Pitt County man is accused of robbing his elderly grandfather at gunpoint at his home in Lenoir County.

James Barrow, Jr. of Greenville is charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and jailed on a $150,000 bond.

Lenoir County deputies say the robbery happened last Wednesday in Circle Drive in La Grange. They say the 36-year-old Barrow, along with two other people, drove to his grandfather's home where Barrow is accused of threatening and robbing the man. The grandfather was not injured and deputies say $600 and a cell phone were taken.

Barrow was arrested on Monday in Greenville, while deputies are still searching for the man and woman who helped him in the holdup.
