Greenville Woman Charged With Stabbing Child's Father

A Greenville woman has been arrested and charged after police say she stabbed her child's father during a domestic dispute.

Officers were called to a home at 606 West 14th Street D and found Kelvin Brown had been stabbed in his chest with a kitchen knife.

Police say Brown’s child’s mother, Trameka Boyd, admitted to stabbing him during an argument over money.

Boyd is now in jail charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. Brown was transported by EMS with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

Police say warrants were also obtained for Kelvin Brown pending his release from the hospital. He will be charged with assault on a female and communicating threats.
