Greenville Woman Charged In Fake Prescription Scheme

A Greenville woman who used to work at a dental practice is accused of getting narcotics through stolen prescriptions.

Tiffany Nelson was arrested today on two counts of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud/forgery and one count of attempted obtaining a controlled substance by fraud/forgery.

Goldsboro police say the 30-year old woman used to work at Immediate Dental Care on East Ash Street where multiple prescription pads had been stolen.

Police say last summer fake prescriptions for Lortab tablets were filled at three Goldsboro pharmacies.

Nelson turned herself in at the Magistrate's Office and given a $5,000 bond. The woman goes before a judge tomorrow for the charges.
