Greenville Police Investigate Alleged Armed Robbery, Shooting

Greenville Police are investigating an alleged armed robbery that ended with a man shot in the leg.

Officers spoke with a man at Vidant Medical Center suffering from a gunshot wound. Police say that the victim said that he was going to a visit a female at a location on Allen Road. That location may have been Holly Glenn Apartments according to police. The man told investigators that when he got out of his vehicle, a black male in a ski mask walked up to him with a handgun and robbed him of $20. The victim says when he tried to run, the suspect shot him in the leg.

Police say that the victim could not provide any specific information, and say the events were not consistent. We’re told no crime scene was ever located.
