A Greenville man accused of having drugs too close to a school is behind bars for the alleged crime.
Deputies at the Pitt County Detention Center confirmed with WITN that 22-year-old Devonta Washington was in custody.
According to deputies, the man was arrested a little after 7 p.m. on Wednesday by Greenville police.
Washington is charged with manufacturing, selling, or delivering pot within a thousand feet of a school, drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana.
His bond was set at $25,000.
