A local woman is charged with embezzling money from a business, but not just any business, her own father's. To make family matters worse, this is not the first time she's been convicted of similar crimes.
Twenty-eight-year-old Rebecca Wade is facing charges in Greene county for felony embezzlement. The Kinston Free Press reports the Snow Hill woman is accused of stealing $13,000 from her dad's auto garage business, Wade Tire Service.
WITN checked with the Department of Corrections, it shows Wade was convicted of passing worthless checks in 2006 and forgery in 2007.
Wade is out of jail on bond right now.
