The sheriff's office said 23-year-old Lt. Alexander Pace is charged with 19 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and 19 counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
Investigators said they found images of minors engaged in sexual activities on Pace's home computer. They accuse Pace of possessing, receiving and distributing images of minors engaged in sexual activities between March 3, 2011 and March 21, 2012.
Pace is being held in the Cumberland County jail under a $475,000 bond. It wasn't known if Pace has an attorney.
