Four Arrested After Gun Battle On Morehead City Street

Four people have been arrested after police say a gun battle erupted on a Morehead City street between people in two vehicles.

Morehead City police say shortly before 11:10 p.m. they were called to shots fired on Highway 70 near the Crystal Coast Plaza intersection.

Police say those in a Toyota Camry and a white SUV with Florida plates where shooting at each other. Havelock police stopped the Camry on McCotter Boulevard and found four people inside. The vehicle had a bullet hole, a shattered window and a gun was found inside.

Police have charged Shaquan Frazier, 19, of Havelock with conspiracy to discharge firearm into occupied vehicle and possession of firearm by felon; Demetre Frazier, 19, of Havelock with conspiracy to discharge firearm into occupied vehicle and possession of firearm by felon; and Terry George, Jr., 27, of Newport with discharge weapon into occupied moving vehicle, possession of firearm by felon and possession of stolen firearm. A 15 year old from Havelock was also charged as a juvenile.

Police are still looking for the White SUV from Florida.
