Thousands of dollars in tools, guns and other goods have been recovered from hog and turkey farms in Duplin County.

Deputies say between December 16th and January 23th they received 17 reports of break-ins and thefts from farms in the Mt. Olive, Faison and Warsaw areas. So far, approximately $50,000 in stolen property has been recovered.

Four men have now been charged with the thefts. Darren Goodman, Dustin Bowden, Christopher Outlaw and Nicholas White were arrested Wednesday on 17 counts of breaking entering and larceny charges. Bowden and Outlaw were also charged with possession of a firearm by felon because of prior felony convictions.

Deputies say they expect more arrests and additional charges in the case.
