A former security guard will spend nearly 15 years on state prison after being convicted of raping a woman two years ago.

Kenneth Norman was sentenced to at least 14 years, 9 months after his conviction for second degree rape and second degree sexual offense in Nash County on Tuesday.

Rocky Mount police say the rape happened in the parking lot of Club 252 on North Church Street back on October 10th, 2009. The victim was a 22-year-old woman.

The Tarboro man will also have to register as a convicted sex offender when he's released from prison.
