Halifax County Felon Charged For Having A Gun
A convicted felon is back behind bars after deputies say they caught him with a gun.
The Halifax County Sheriff's Office arrested 44 year old Emmanuel Bell early Sunday morning. Deputies were responding to a domestic call in the Roanoke Rapids area when they say they found Bell with a .22 caliber rifle.
Bell is charged with possession of a firearm by a felon. His bond was set at $12,000, and he's due in court February 1.
Bell's criminal record stretches back to 1987 with a conviction of assault with a deadly weapon in Northampton County. Other charges over the years include resisting an officer, possession and selling drugs, and carrying a concealed weapon.
