FEDS: Woman Defrauds Medicare Out Of $1 Million

A Nash County woman has admitted to defrauding Medicare out of some $1 million over a six year period.

Donna Dickens of Nashville pled guilty in federal court on Monday.

Prosecutors say the woman operated Dickens Health Care Supplies and created a scheme to submit false claims to Medicare reimbursement for medical equipment.

Dickens faces up to 10 years in prison and the plea agreement says she has agreed to make restitution to Medicare for whatever the court may order. No date has been set for Dickens' sentencing.
