Officials say Edtuan Davis has been found in Pender County at a church after a search was called off earlier in the day when he escaped after a car chase with FBI agents.

Multiple agencies are looking for a hit and run suspect involved in a chase that ended in Pender County Wednesday.

The incident started in Wilmington when lawmen say Edtuan Davis hit an FBI vehicle as agents tried to stop him, and a chase ensued. It ended in Pender County when Davis jumped out of his vehicle and ran into a wooded area nearby. The search was called off after a K-9 and helicopter searched for a few hours.

The Highway Patrol said Davis was wanted by the FBI but was unsure why.
