Police: Babysitter Beat, Dismembered Indiana Girl

Police in Indiana say a babysitter bludgeoned a 9-year-old to death with a brick then dismembered her with a hacksaw.

Allen County Sheriff's Department says in an affidavit that Michael Plumadore admits he killed Aliahna Lemmon on Dec. 22.

According to the affidavit, Plumadore says that after beating Aliahna to death, he stuffed her body into trash bags and hid her in his freezer. He says he later chopped up her body, stuffed her remains into freezer bags and hid some at his trailer and some at a nearby business.

Police spokesman Cpl. Jeremy Tinkel says a judge ordered Plumadore held without bail or bond at an initial hearing Tuesday. He has yet to be formally charged in Aliahna's death.

Sounds like Michael Myers to me. The death sentence should be applied, however not by the easiest way known to man ( lethal injection ). He should go the same way he took this girls life period. However this will not happen. Let me tell you how it ends. Subject goes to court with a bleeding heart liberal attorney, pleads not guilty reason of insanity, bleeding heart liberal jurors go for this, subjects attorney claims he was abused as a child, liberal jurors begin to cry, find him not guilty due to insanity plea, subject goes to a mental hospital, 2 months later he is misteriously healed, states he is finally on the right meds, 7 - 10 years later he is released, 6 months later he kills again. Believe it or not. This is fact.

Reading more about the crime, it's clear this guy is probably a serial sadist- I wouldn't be surprised if they start looking into missing children cases in his area. There have been some recent cases of women killing children too, so I'm inclined to say that anyone who isn't YOU has the potential, however remote, to harm your children, intentionally or not. We may be pinching pennies and missing vacations, but I stay at home with my kids. There's no job, or amount of money, that can replace the peace of mind that comes with knowing that my kids are well fed, warm, clean, and exactly where they should be.

The article attached is the best news account so far regarding this little girl's horrible death. Why don't our local news do as good of a job reporting? http://www.charlotteobserver.com/2011/12/27/2878976/missing-ind-girl-found-dead-babysitter.html#storylink=misearch

I'd like some explanation on how it is costlier to execute than imprison someone. How much does electricity or a few drops of lethal drugs cost? It can't be more than say $5000 at the most including payroll for the one's who work the execution. How does that compare to 20-30-40 years in prison? I just don't understand. Especially in this case, when he admitted what he did. He should get the express lane to the execution chamber.

It's the 4927 appeals they get. That's where the expense is.

Legal fees. Court cost. Appeals cost. Possibly further investigations. While all that transpires, the prison system still has to house and provide food for the inmate. I'm not opposed to the death penalty, but I also believe in the rule of law and the Constitution. He still should be tried, and if convicted with absolute certanty, then he can be put on death row and face lethal injection. Althought in this case it wouldn't surprise me if he's admitted to a mental institution to at least determine his competency to stand trial.

Reading another article, it seems he had been taking care of the mother's step-grandfather for the past four years until the man's death earlier this month. It is the grandfather's home that he was still living in. It also seems that the mother had no reason to not trust him. He isn't a registered sex offender and the crime seems to be from anger. For those saying they wouldn't trust a man to care for their children especially their daughters, men are just as capable as women and this is the mindset that makes it difficult for fathers to get custody of their children. Be careful and pay attention to your children regardless of the gender your babysitter/childcare giver happens to be.

Anyone that would live in a run down neighborhood w/ their kids, where 15 out of the 24 residents are sex offenders, obviously is not of sound mind. I bet she was "sick" from withdrawals from drugs.

Those of you with bleeding hearts for criminals the death penalty does work 100% on preventing repeat offenders. Now go wail and cry for the cold blooded killers liberals have created.

well-said. They should feed him to the dogs and save the tax payers money. There is no rehabilitating a monster like this. He's not human. No human will do this to a helpless 9 year old.

It's not a deterrent, nobody said that killing a person wouldn't prevent them from comitting another crime though. Learn to read, go back to school if you need to.
