A traffic stop leads to the arrest of a suspect who had arrest warrants out for him and the discovery lawmen say of drugs in his vehicle.

The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office says 37-year-old Mitchell St. Clair Junior of Sharon Court in Washington was pulled over after he crossed the center line while traveling on East Barr Road in Chocowinity. After identifying the driver, the deputy learned of three active order for arrests on grand jury indictments and arrested St. Clair.

A search of his vehicle turned up five plastic baggies containing marijuana in a glass jar inside of a computer case and a canister containing a white powdery substance.

St. Clair was released after posting an $8,000.00 secured bond.
