"Drug Roundup" Nets More Than Two Dozen Suspects

More than two dozen drug suspects in Martin County were arrested early Friday morning after a “drug roundup” conducted by law enforcement officers.

The operation began at 5:30 a.m. and was the result of an investigation that took place over the past several months.

Officers with the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, Williamston Police Department, North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement, North Carolina State Highway Patrol North Carolina Probation / Parole and the North Carolina National Guard were involved in the operation.

Officers say they were able to conduct this operation because of the help of concerned citizens in the area.
