Drug Bust In Beaufort County Lands 7 People Behind Bars

Police say they busted a drug operation after complaints of drug activity at a home.

Beaufort County Sheriff's Office undercover officers say they bought crack from Mary Hardy at her home on Main Street in Edward. She's charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine. She has a $40,000 bond.

Deputies also arrested Jo Ann Story of Aurora, Karen Boyd of Greenville, David Stilley of Blounts Creek, Amelia Jenkins of Edward, 77-year old Whitford Miller of Oriental, and 18-year-old Michael Moore of Blounts Creek. All are charged with possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Moore was also charged with possession of less than a half ounce of marijuana.
