The man accused of killing a mother and child in a Monday night wreck has now been arrested.
Online court records show that 25-year-old Stacey Deans is facing two counts of felony death by motor vehicle and possession of marijuana.
Troopers in Nash County say 21-year-old Lashunqua Cooper and her 3-year-old son, Jiquel Copeland, died in the wreck along Highway 301 just outside of Rocky Mount.
Online jail records show Deans is in custody in Nash County. He is schedule to make his first appearance tomorrow morning, according to court records.
Troopers suspect alcohol may be a factor, and are awaiting toxicology report results.

State troopers say 21-year-old Lashunqua Cooper, and her son, Jiquel Copeland, died after their Honda was struck by a pickup truck.
It happened right before 9:30 p.m. on Highway 301 South, just outside of the city limits.
Troopers say the driver of the pickup, Stacey Deans, crossed the center line and hit the woman's car.
They say the child was in a child safety seat in the backseat at the time of the crash. Troopers say alcohol is suspected in the case, but they're waiting for blood tests to return.
