Deputies: SWAT Team Responds After Man Shoots Up Home

A SWAT team was called out to a home in Wayne county Friday night after a report that a man shot through the door of a different house looking for his wife and then shot at a victim inside.

Deputies say James Moskos went looking for his wife at a home on Miller Road in Fremont. They say he threatened the occupants inside. The occupants were able to flee, but one was injured during the incident.

Deputies say Moskos' wife was hiding inside; she then fled and called 911. They say Moskos eventually returned to his home, next door, then armed with firearms he ran into the woods.

Deputies called the SWAT team and surrounded the area. They say Moskos ended up driving his vehicle at the SWAT team. No one was injured.

They say Moskos sped off, but a sniper then shot at the vehicle and struck Moskos.

Moskos was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Felony charges are pending.
