Carteret County deputies arrested Terry Fox for failing to report a change of address as required by sex offenders.
During a compliance check of all registered sex offenders in the county, deputies and US marshals found Fox was not residing at the address on record at the sheriffs office. Fox was arrested a few days later on Oscar Hill Road in Newport and was held in the Carteret County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond.
The 43-year-old was originally placed on the registry after being convicted of second degree rape in 1995.
