Deputies said a drug tip and a strong smell coming from a local home were clues that lead to a drug bust.
The Kinston Free Press reports deputies in Lenoir County got the tip of drug activity at a home in the 5000 block of Toms Path.
Investigators arrived at the home Sunday to find the strong smell of marijuana.
The paper reports deputies got a warrant and found baggies of cocaine, marijuana, and even a sword in the home.
28-year-old Javier Perez was arrested on drug charges, including possession with the intent to sell and deliver drugs.
Investigators said there was a baggie of marijuana on a heater in the home, producing the strong smell of marijuana.
Perez was put in the Lenoir County Jail under a $200,000 bond.
