Duo Arrested For Recent Carteret County Break-Ins

A couple wanted by Newport police for recent residential break-ins in Carteret County was arrested Saturday. Detectives say the two ripped off people when they were supposed to be repairing their homes.

28-year-old Jennifer Lynn Daniels and 21-year-old Eric Norris Sanders, who were both wanted by the NPD for January break-ins, were seen by an officer who was responding to an unrelated call.

Daniels and Sanders are now being held at Carteret County Jail on charges that include breaking and entering and larceny. They are both being held under a $30,000 bond each.

The duo is suspected of stealing more than $5,000 in various items from the Mindora Court area of Newport. Originally they had been hired by victims for home repairs when the crimes occurred.
