Deputies in Beaufort County say they have solved more than two dozen vehicle break-ins throughout the county.

Rashad Pridgen, 22, and Brantley Sutton, 16, both of Washington, were charged Tuesday with 27-counts of breaking or entering and larceny from a motor vehicle, four counts of breaking or entering a motor vehicle, and one count each of felony breaking or entering, felony larceny and larceny of a firearm.

Deputies say since July they have received numerous reports of vehicle break-ins in the areas of Cypress Landing, Whichard's Beach Road, Washington Park, Honey Pod Farm, Mimosa Shores, McCotter's Marina Road, and Pamlico Beach. The victims reported a variety of items stolen including I-pods, GPS navigation systems, sunglasses and firearms.

Sutton turned himself in at the Magistrate's Office and jailed on a $70,000 bond, while Pridgen was served while at the Pitt County Detention Center. His bond was set at $300,000.
