Deputies said a day after they got a call to investigate a home break-in, and an off-duty officer caught the accused crooks in the act at the same home.
Investigators in Jones County said on July 18th, they got a call about a home break-in along Highway 258.
The next day, deputies got another call from an off-duty officer who said the crooks were in the same home, which belongs to his family.
Detectives say once they got there, they found two trucks loaded with stolen property outside and 24-year-old Chad English side by side with 44-year-old James Rouse II inside the home.
Both men were arrested and charged with felony breaking and entering and larceny.
Rouse was granted a $5,000 bond. English, a $4,000 bond.
Deputies said more charges are expected to be filed.
