A woman being arrested after a domestic violence disturbance is facing more charges after lawmen say she kicked and spit on the sheriff.

Sarah Waller of Washington was originally charged with simple assault and resisting arrest Monday evening. At the magistrate's office, deputies say she was held in contempt of court by the magistrate and handed a five day sentence.

Deputies say the woman continued to not follow commands and ended up kicking Sheriff Alan Jordan who came to assist other deputies with the combative woman. They say as Waller was being restrained in the jail, she spit on the sheriff, hitting him on his face and clothes.

Waller is now charged with malicious conduct by a prisoner and assault with physical injury to a law enforcement officer, both felonies. The woman's bond was set at $50,000.
