A deputy finance officer for one Eastern Carolina county has been indicted on charges of obtaining property by false pretense.
The SBI says Jonzi Guill was arrested Monday after her indictment by a Washington County Grand jury last week.
A spokeswoman for Attorney General Roy Cooper says Guill was a deputy finance officer for Washington County. She was indicted on 19 different counts.
Bond for the 35-year-old Guill was set at $2,500.
It's not clear what Guill's job status is with Washington County, as we're told the county manager is on vacation this week and only he can release that information. Guill's name does not appear on the county's web site.
