Cash, Stamps Taken In Greenville Post Office Burglary

Police are investigating the breaking and entering of a post office here in Eastern Carolina.

Greenville police say a piece of cement was thrown through the front window at the Southpark Post Office branch on Red Banks Road. It happened sometime between 12:30 p.m. Saturday and Monday morning when employees returned to work.

Police say once inside, the burglars pried open locked file cabinet drawers and made off with cash and stamps.

So far police say there have been no arrests.
