Carteret County Deputies Look For Suspects In Armed Robbery

Carteret County deputies are looking for two suspects that held up a restaurant Saturday evening.

Deputies say the robbery occurred around 9:30 p.m. at the T & W Oyster Bar & Restaurant on Hwy 58 in Pelletier.

Two men wearing ski masks entered the restaurant armed with two semi-automatic handguns and demanded money from the cashier and bartender.

Restaurant employees were in the early stages of closing up and there was one table of customers left when the incident occurred.

The two suspects got away with an undisclosed amount of the cash. The suspects were described as white males wearing black ski masks. They fled in a full size green square body style pick up truck traveling North on Hwy 58 towards Stella.

If you have any information about this case please contact the Carteret County Sheriff's Office at (252) 504-4805.

More frequency in happening like this is why so many people are beginning to carry concealed weapons. When these thugs start getting confronted with armed citizens, this will stop and the thugs may be stopped permanently!

In a situation like this, one person taking on two armed might not be pretty. Too much jeopardy for all others there.

It is illegal to carry a concealed weapon into an establishment that serves alcohol even if you have a permit. We need to change that.

Yeah - because alcohol and firearms are a winning combination. Right?

Think anyone CCW leaves it in the car when they go out drinking? I'm betting that the law is broken alot more with this than we imagine, and we aren't hearing about a preponderance of cases where some drunk CCW holder is whipping it out in a bar. CCW holders are probably the most responsible citizens there are. After all, they carry the power of life and death in their pockets most of the time.

Capital murder if the heart attack victim dies. A death in the commission of a serious felony warrants the death penalty.

One of the victims in the restaurant is reported to have had a heart attach after the robbery. Not sure of his status, but if he died, they should be charged with murder.
