CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Halloween Night Armed Robbery

Trick or treaters weren't the only ones dressed up for Halloween Monday night. Craven County deputies say an armed man wearing a hockey mask robbed a convenience store around 10:00 p.m.

It happened at the Handy Mart on Highway 70 in James City. Deputies say the black man wearing the white mask was wearing dark clothing and a hooded sweatshirt. He pointed an automatic handgun at witnesses several times during the robbery.

They say he got away with a small amount of money and the robbery is believed to be connected to an earlier holdup at a Family Dollar in New Bern.

Anyone with any information should call Crime Stoppers at 252-633-5141. A reward is being offered for any information leading to the arrest of the gunman.
