A murder investigation is underway after police found a body buried in a yard in Wilmington.
The body was recovered Friday in a yard on Cowan Street. The body has been identified as 24-year-old Latricia Scott of Wilmington. Scott's family reported her missing Wednesday night.
The medical examiner says the cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head.
Andrew Adams has been arrested and charged with the murder of Scott. He is being held without bond at the New Hanover County Detention Center.
