A fight between a Beaufort County father and son landed the son in jail, charged with stabbing his father.
Beaufort County deputies responded to a report of an armed man threatening to shoot his father in Belhaven early Sunday morning. When they arrived, they found 26-year-old Benjamin Schwartz fighting with his father. Deputies separated the two and found that Schwartz's father had been stabbed. He was treated at the hospital in Belhaven and released.
Police seized guns, ammunition, and a knife from the residence. Schwartz is being held on a $30,000 secured bond.
