Wayne County lawmen arrested a man on second degree rape charges, accused of sexually assaulting a 19 year old woman.
Anthony Pfaff, 40 of Quinn Store Rd. in Beulaville was arrested at Busco Beach after lawmen started investigating the complaint of a sexual assault. Officials say Pfaff was taken into custody without incident.
Pfaff received treatment from Wayne County EMS at the scene; deputies say Pfaff and a relative of the sexual assault victim got into an altercation before law enforcement arrived. The victim was treated at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro and released, officials say.
Pfaff's bond was set at $100,000.
