Jimmy Ball, Jr. & Mark Tripp

Lawmen in the east say they've arrested a man that's been on the run for breaking and entering.

32-year-old Jimmy Ball Junior of Washington was arrested by the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office thanks, they say, to a Crime Stoppers tip. Investigators say 36-year-old Mark Tripp of Chocowinity was Ball’s accomplice in the breaking and entering, and larceny that happened on Cayton Road in Chocowinity on November 9th. Officials say Tripp was arrested on November 30th but Ball would go on the run until December 12th.

Investigators say both men were charged with 4 counts of breaking and entering, 3 counts of larceny after b & e and one count of first degree trespassing.

The Sheriff’s office says Ball has since been released on a $5,000 secured bond. Tripp was given a $12,500 secured bond for these and other crimes according to officials.
