Deputies on the Outer Banks are searching for a Beaufort County man they say raped a woman this weekend.
Eric Mares was last seen riding a dark colored cruiser-type bicycle and is wanted on a charge of second degree rape. Deputies say the rape happened in the Manns Harbor community early Sunday.
The 22-year-old Mares has been living in Manns Harbor, but deputies say he is originally from Beaufort County.
