Rocky Mount Bar Fight Leads To Murder

A man is dead after a fight at a Rocky Mount bar.

Police say Ryan Bobbitt was shot after being physically assaulted inside Night Life Bar and Grill on Country Club Road. Police got the call around 2:00 a.m. this morning.

The 24-year-old Bobbitt died at the scene. The gunman is described as a 20 to 25 year old black man, 6'1" to 6'3" tall and weighing 200 pounds. He has shoulder-length dreadlocks hair, wearing a baseball cap, a white tee-shirt and jeans. He was possibly operating a tan older model Chevrolet or Oldsmobile with 24" rims.

Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 252-977-1111.

I am a black woman so what I say may offend someone. Black people are stupid and ignorant. I see too many young black people come into the prison system like its okay to be there. When will we learn that respect is not given to us, its earned. You have to give respect to get respect. You have to respect yourself first. Black people look for trouble vs. trouble looking for us. Some things can be prevented. Senseless killing is all to norm and until we the people get involved and do something about it-like report it-nothing will change and everything will stay the same. Crime infested neighborhoods

Instead fo complaind of the problems. Regardless of color. Why not do something. Tell what you saw, in any crime that why these people can;t get put behind bars. There are ways to report thing without giving your name. When the young man got killed at the other club in Rocky Mount everybody had so much to say in comments section and on Facebook. Tell the truth on reporting a crime so we can get our city back. If we never get involved then nothing will change.

There is a picture of the supposed shooter circulating on Facebook. He is said to be "on the run" (obviously). News Channels need to try and get the picture so that he can be identified in public places. We already know he's dangerous. The picture is of a 17 year old African American male with dreadlocks stopping just before the shoulders. And I heard the car was a champage-colored Oldsmobile. Hope they catch the (for lack of a better word) b***ard!

And I want to know why they werent searched for weapons before entering the bar.... like every bar i have been to does?

Please, WITN, STOP publishing these fabricated, made-up stories. Everyone knows that "gun control" laws work 100%, and in NC is is completely illegal for ANY regular citizen (even people with permits) to carry a firearm in an establishment that serves alcohol under NCGS §14-415.12A (Police, however, are exempt from this law, and MAY carry in bars while on duty) So there is NO WAY that anyone could be shot inside a bar in NC by a non-LEO. It's obvious that either this story is fake, or the shooter was a cop, because that is the ONLY person who could carry legally in a bar in NC.

because people NEVER break laws!!!! if some moron will shoot someone, of course they will attempt, if not succeed, at entering a bar with a gun, bouncer at the door or not. it's also a law not to shoot anyone, or pee in public.

It was clearly sarcasm (Google that) related to NC not allowing CHP holders to take guns in restaurants that serve alcohol, and directed at people who believe that passing more laws restricting guns will somehow keep them safer.
