The search is on for a man who walked into a Washington County bank at closing time and robbed it.
Chief deputy Brian Hardison tells WITN that the man walked into the East Carolina Bank in Creswell at 5:58 Friday afternoon as the last customer was leaving. Hardison says the man was armed with a silver revolver and demanded cash.
The suspect left the bank with an undetermined amount of money.
The SBI has been called in to aid in the investigation.
